The tutorial: Part one

Well, first you’re going to have to have a video in your file share. For that you need either Bungie Pro or a Gold Subscription to Xbox Live. If you don’t have either of those, im sorry.

So… Go play some Halo 3. Do something cool, and go back to the theatre mode and record what you did. Go to http://www.geevee.com and create an account. Once you’ve gotten the conformation message (and activated your account ), go to the bottom and click ‘’Geevee Grab’’

When you click on that, one of two things is going to happen.
1--‘’Geevee is down due to technical difficultys’’
2—A page with a bunch of info to fill out. Put in your gamertag, your video NAME from the file share, and whatever else it asks you to do. The video NEEDS to be in your file share.

Hit the submit button, and go back to the top of the page. You will see your screen name up there. Click on it.

Your video will show that it is processing and It will have a time on it. Don’t worry if it says 300 years, its just a glitch.

So now you’re at the waiting part. You have to wait until your video is done until you can do anything else. So when it finishes, here’s what you do.

Click on your screenname( at the top ), and click on the video. Right below the video it will say ‘’video id’’. Copy that code there.

This next part is kind of tricky. Go to the top of the page, and click the address bar to make it highlighted. Delete everything except for the http://www.geevee.com/

Now, add ‘’video’’ to the end. ( looks like http://www.geevee.com/video

Add another / and then the LAST TWO NUMBERS OF YOUR VIDEO ID. ( looks like http://www.geevee.com/video/(last two numbers )

ANOTHER / and then the full video ID. After those last numbers, put .flv

YOU NEED THAT . BEFORE THE FLV. DO NOT PUT A / AFTER THE FULL VIDEO ID.

Click the enter button. A prompt should come up saying ‘’ do you want to save this’’ click the save button and wait for it to be saved to your harddrive. It wont take very long.

Part two:

Off to a new website, this time its http://www.media-convert.com

To make sure you are on the right website, there is a backround of a bunch of lizards. Don’t ask why, I don’t know.

Scroll down a little bit, and click on ‘’file’’ ( on the left side ) It is next to ‘’ url ‘’ which can also be clicked, but that’s a different method that will be explained later. Move the mouse a little to the right and click ‘ browse ‘. On the left of that mini-box, you have 5 selections to choose from. Click on ‘’my documents’’ and find the file that is named after your video id. ( or whatever you named your video when you were saving it to your hard drive ) Double click that.

Now your back to the media convert site. DO NOT MESS WITH THE INPUT FORMAT. It is fine how it is, and if you mess with it you are most likely to mess up.

Move down a little bit more, and you should see ‘’output format’’. Click on that, and select one of them. I prefer MPEG ( any of them )

Look to the right again, and hit the I accept terms thing, then hit ‘’ok’’. Your video will now be converted into a type that you can watch, put into editing systems, and even upload to youtube.

Ok, so we arent done yet. Hit download when your video is done, and go back to my documents from the start menu. Go over and find your video again, and this time it will have a different symbol by it, and it will be playable. To test which one is right, double click them. Whichever one works is the one that has been converted.

Happy gaming – Phantom.

FAQ

Q: I put in http://www.geevee.com/video/02/14502.flv and it doesnt work! What gives?!

A: When the fourth number is a 0, you need to remove it from the 2 number section. Looking like so. http://www.geevee.com/video/2/14502.flv

Q: THREE WEEKS?! Are you kidding me? Its gonna take them three weeks to upload my 12 second video?!

A: No, the estimations are VERY off. It will usually take 2-4 days. Just check back every day.

Q:How can I get GeeVee to upload the video with the reticule on it?...because none of the vids have reticules on them.

A: However you record it is the way they are going to put it up. That is the only problem on the recording I have seen.

Q: I started the grab and it showed the time but today it dissapeared and the vid is still not up. Did I do something wrong?

A: Check your email or junk mail (it sometimes ends up there). If your video wasn't posted it was most likley to long to to short ( MIN: 20 sec, MAX: 20 min) and you should've gotten an email saying as much.
